Your academy details and check-in style
The name, address and contact details that appear on everything you send, and how the check-in screen behaves.
The Gym tab under Settings is your academy's own record: the name at the top of every email, the address on your registration form, and the way the front-desk screen behaves. Most of it you set once and never touch again.
Steps
Your academy profile
The card at the top holds your academy name, email, telephone and website, then the address — street, apartment or suite, city, state and ZIP.
This is not filing. The name is what members see in the subject line of everything Roll Pay sends on your behalf, the email is where replies land, and the address is what appears on your registration form and your public pages. Press Save changes when you edit it.
These fields end up in front of members far more often than they end up in front of you. TipUse an address a delivery driver could find, not a trading name. It goes on documents members may need to act on.Your logo
The square beside the name is your logo. It appears on the check-in screen, on your registration form and on emails, so it is worth uploading something square and legible at small sizes.
It is shown small more often than large. Test it at the size of a favicon. How students check in
Check-ins layout decides what happens after a student taps their PIN at the front desk, and there are two ways to run it.
- Class based — they pick the class or package they are attending. Use this if you want attendance by class, which is what makes the schedule and the check-in reports useful.
- Pantcho mode — the PIN checks them straight in and a success screen shows their belt and progress. Use it when there is one thing on at a time and a queue at the door.
Class based buys you attendance by class. Pantcho mode buys you three seconds a student. Press Save layout after switching.
The layout is saved separately from the profile above it. Check itOpen the check-in screen in another tab and enter a PIN. Class based shows the class cards; Pantcho mode checks straight in.
What happens next
Changes here take effect immediately. A check-in screen already open on a tablet keeps the old behaviour until it reloads, so refresh the tablet after switching layout.
Common questions
We changed our academy name. What else needs changing? Nothing inside Roll Pay. Your own website, social accounts and anything printed are yours to update.
Can I have different check-in styles at different doors? Not within one academy. The layout is a single setting for the whole gym.
Which layout should we use? Class based, unless the queue at your door is the problem you are solving. Attendance by class is worth a few seconds per student.
Where do I change the classes themselves? Further down the same tab, under Gym class.
