Answer a question with Analytics
Four reports — students, memberships, check-ins and transactions — and the filter bar they all share.
The Dashboard tells you about today. Analytics is for the questions that take a date range to answer: how many white belts joined since January, which plan people actually buy, whether Tuesday evenings are worth running, what you collected last quarter.
All four reports work the same way, so learning one teaches you the rest.
Steps
Pick your report
The tabs across the top are the four reports.
- Students — registration trends and a breakdown of your roster.
- Memberships — which plans people are on and how that is moving.
- Check-ins — attendance over time.
- Transactions — what you have taken, over time.
Four reports, one set of controls. Whichever tab you are on, the bar underneath works the same. Narrow it down
Filter by opens the filters for that report — belt, status, membership and so on, depending on which one you are in. Pick as many as you need; they stack, and each shows as a chip you can drop on its own. Clear all removes the lot.
Which filters you get depends on the report. These are the ones on Students. Where a report covers a period, a date range sits underneath the filters. That is the control that turns a list into an answer, so compare like with like: this January against last January, not January against a quiet August.
TipStart with no filters and look at the total. A number only means something next to the number it came from.Search inside it
The keyword search filters the rows you are already looking at — a name, an email, a class. It works with the filters rather than instead of them.
Search narrows what the filters have already selected, so the two stack. Choose your columns
The control that reads … Columns Selected shows and hides columns, so a report you are reading for one thing is not cluttered by five others. Start typing a column name to find one in a long list.
Hiding a column hides it from the export too, which is usually what you want. Save the ones you repeat
Save filters stores the filter set you have built, under a name you give it. Next month, pick it from the saved list instead of building it again. It is the difference between a report you run once and a number you actually track.
Saved sets appear in a list beside the filters, so a monthly number is two clicks. Read the report
The rows sit under the bar. Sort by clicking a column heading, page through at the bottom, and Export when you want to take it into a spreadsheet.
The Transactions report, filtered and ready to export.
What happens next
Nothing here changes your data — every one of these screens is read-only.
From the check-ins report you can open a single student and see their attendance split by class, with their most recent check-ins listed underneath. That is the view for a conversation about whether someone is actually training.
Common questions
A report is empty. Press Clear all first. If the report has a date range, check that next — an empty report is almost always a window that ends before the data starts.
Do these numbers match my Dashboard? They will, for the same period. The Dashboard fixes its own period — today, this week, this month — while here you choose it, so the two only agree when you pick the same window.
Can I get this emailed to me every month? Not yet. Save the filter set and it is two clicks whenever you want it.
Transactions here versus my Billing portal? This is a report over your Roll Pay records. The gateway is the system of record for money itself, so for a refund or a receipt, go there.
