Jump anywhere with Search
Press Cmd K, type a few letters, and land on the page, setting or student you need without hunting through the menu.
The Search box at the top of every page is the fastest way around Roll Pay. It knows every page and setting in the app, so "belt" takes you to Belt promotion without remembering which tab it lives under. Keep typing a name and it searches your students, families and memberships too.
Steps
Open Search
Click Search at the top right, or press Cmd K on a Mac or Ctrl K on Windows from anywhere in the app.
The keyboard shortcut is printed on the button as a reminder. Type what you want
Start typing. Pages and settings appear instantly, grouped by where they live. Students, families and memberships that match follow a moment later, each with a link to the record. Use the arrow keys to move, Enter to open, and Esc to close.
A few letters are enough. You do not need the exact name.
What happens next
You land on the page. Search remembers nothing, so there is no history to clear.
Common questions
Can I search for a student? Yes. Type part of their name and they appear under Students, with their family and membership alongside if those match too.
The shortcut does nothing. Another program may own Cmd K. Click the Search button instead, or check your browser's extension shortcuts.
