Send someone a registration link

Text or email your sign-up link to a prospect from the Dashboard, without leaving the page.

Someone walks in, asks about classes, and you do not want to lose them to a paper form. Send Registration Link on the Dashboard sends your academy's sign-up form straight to their phone or inbox while they are still standing there. They fill it in themselves, and they land on your roster with a signed waiver and a card on file.

Steps

  1. Open the quick action

On the Dashboard, the bar under the header holds three buttons. Press Send Registration Link, the one that reads Share a sign-up link in seconds.

The same three buttons are there every day, because these are the three jobs that happen every day.

  2. Choose email or text

The box asks how to send it. Choose Email Link or SMS Link, then type the address or the mobile number. Include the country code on a number.

One address or number at a time. The Send link button stays greyed out until what you typed is valid.

TipAsk for the number rather than the email. A text is opened in a minute; an email waits for the evening.
  3. Send the link

Press Send link. The button reads Sending… while it goes, and a message confirms it left. The box closes itself, so there is nothing else to tidy up.

Nothing is saved until you press it, so an abandoned box leaves no trace.

Check itA green confirmation appears at the top of the screen. If the address was mistyped, the message is red and nothing was sent.

What happens next

The prospect gets a message with a link to your registration form, the same form behind Registration in the left menu. They enter their details, add any children, accept your waiver and put a card on file. When they finish, they appear on the Students page, and their signed waiver is stored on their profile.

Nothing is created in Roll Pay at the moment you send the link. If they never fill the form in, there is no half-made record to clean up — send it again.

Common questions

Can I send the same link to several people at once? Not from this box; it takes one address or number at a time. To share widely, open Registration in the left menu and copy the address of the tab that opens. That is your registration link, and anyone with it can sign up.

They say the link never arrived. Check the address for a typo, then look in junk mail. Texts to a number without a country code do not leave. Sending again is safe.

Does this work for a parent signing up children? Yes. Send it to the parent. On the form they choose to register themselves, their children, or both.

Can a student use it to update details they already have? The form spots an email already on your roster and sends them to update their existing details rather than making a duplicate.
