What Safe Academy certification takes

Steps

1. The five credentials

   The same five apply to each coach and, at organisation level, to the academy.

   • SafeSport — abuse-prevention training.
   • Mandated Reporter — state reporting training.
   • Background Check — third-party screening, run for you rather than uploaded.
   • Code of Conduct — your academy's own document, signed.
   • CPR / First Aid — a current certification card, and for the academy, an AED on site with trained staff.

   

2. The tracker

   Across the top, four stages show how close you are: academy and coaches added, documents submitted, Roll Pay review, and certified. Beside it sits the count of items still between you and certification.

   

3. The five numbers

   Academy counts your own requirements verified out of five. Coaches counts how many are fully verified out of how many you have. Then the three that tell you what to do next: Awaiting Roll Pay, with how long the oldest has been waiting, Missing, with how many coaches that spans, and Expired, which is a renewal rather than a new submission.

   

   TipWork the Missing number down first. Awaiting Roll Pay is our job, not yours, and it clears on its own.

4. Your academy's own requirements

   The Academy requirements card lists your five with their status and expiry dates. Manage opens the full page, where each requirement has its document, its expiry and a button to upload or replace it.

   

5. Every coach at once

   The Coaches matrix is the whole roster against the five credentials, plus whether their certificate has issued. The tabs above it — all coaches, needs action, in review, verified — cut it down to the ones you can do something about, and the key on the right says what each colour means. Open any coach for their own page.
