If your academy belongs to an affiliation, its name appears in the left menu — Gracie Southwest Alliance, Check Mat, whatever yours is called. Behind it are three things the affiliation publishes to every academy under its banner: documents, videos and events.

Steps

  1. Documents

    The Documents tab is the curriculum, policies and forms: syllabuses, the code of conduct, the affiliation agreement, tournament entry forms, the brand pack.

    The counts at the top are how many documents there are, how many are required reading, and how many changed in the last thirty days. That last number is the one to glance at — it is how you notice the syllabus was updated without anybody telling you.

    Each item shows its format and size, when it was last updated, and a Download. The category filters — curriculum, policy, forms, brand — narrow a long list.

    Required reading is the affiliation telling you which of these you are expected to have read.

    TipCheck "recently updated" at the start of each month. An affiliation that revises its grading criteria rarely emails every academy about it.

  2. Videos

    The Videos tab is technique, instructor development and recorded seminars, with the total runtime so you know what you are committing to. Each carries who taught it and when.

    Each one names who taught it, which matters when a student asks where a detail came from.

    Instructor development is the part worth working through with your coaches — it is how an affiliation keeps a kids warm-up in Austin looking like a kids warm-up in San Diego.

  3. Events

    The Events tab is what is on across the whole affiliation, not just at your gym: open mats, belt ceremonies, seminars. Each one names the host academy, the date and how many places are left, with Register to take one.

    Places left is live, so a ceremony with thirty spots is worth acting on rather than bookmarking.

    The filters are the host academies, so you can see what is on at the gym down the road versus a four-hour drive away.

What happens next

Registering for an affiliation event is you signing up at another academy's event, so you do it as yourself. Your own members are not registered by it, and it does not appear on your academy's schedule.

Documents and videos are published by the affiliation, which means the list changes without warning. Nothing is deleted from your side, and nothing here affects your own members.

Common questions

A document I had is gone. The affiliation removed or replaced it. If you needed it, ask them — Roll Pay keeps no copy on your behalf.

Can I share these with my students? That is the affiliation's call, not ours. A syllabus usually yes, the affiliation agreement usually no.

Can I add our own documents here? No. This tab is the affiliation talking to you. Your own documents live under Settings.

We are not in an affiliation. Where is this? You will not see it. The menu item only appears for academies that belong to one.
